As we just celebrated our country’s independence, Governor Gavin Newsom of California along with his state’s department of health issued a demand on churches, and places of worship, that they must prohibit singing or chanting. This mandate came under the idea of preventing the spread of COVID19.
Later on, they tried to soft-peddle the demand by couching it as a recommendation, but the truth is, that this governor has long sought to infringe on the religious liberties of his citizens.
In response, the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) is filing suit in the courts to get an injunction in place so this mandate does not go into effect.
Yet if it does become law, the question “who should we serve, man or god, “ must be examined by all Bible-believing Christians, Jews, and Muslim worshipers. This mandate would affect all faiths.
We as freedom-loving Americans cannot stand for this. We must take a stand here and now.
The ACLJ is gathering a petition to stop these practices even as they take action against it.
You can read more about that here.
This is only the beginning. we know that Yeshua said “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have shalom. In the world, you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world!” John 16:33
This is yet another proof that everything political has a spiritual root.
We must pray up, armor up, and war strong.
