As 2020 begins, we step into a new decade with many concerns looming: Iran raising its ugly terrorist head, Virginia government trying to trample its citizen’s second amendment rights, impeachment stalling in the House of Representatives, and so much more.

There is room to hope and room to smile as 2020 is the year that we citizens in America choose whether we believe in freedom or in government control.

This is the year we decide whether we keep our current president and elect an overwhelmingly conservative Congress, or we toss them both out and bring in a flood of socialist/communist-controlled government to sabotage our beloved liberty.

Do we continue down the dark path of open socialism that leads to the tyranny of communism, or choose to protect and enjoy the bright path of liberty?

Throughout this year, especially on election day on November 3, keep at the forefront of your mind Deuteronomy 30:19, “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants” (NASB).  Your vote not only effects the next four years but the next generation.

Before going to the polls this November 3, do your due diligence and look at the accomplishments of President Trump. For example, he cut eight regulations for every new one; whereas, this month, California is enacting more than 1,200 laws regulating home water usage to the homeless crisis. You decide, liberty or tyranny.

The biggest reason to smile is that no matter the outcome, God still sits on His throne. He still works in the affairs of humanity, and His plan will be accomplished.

No matter what you see on the fake news media outlets, no matter what issues drive the news cycle, no matter what articles you read about the coming elections, take a moment to smile and breathe a prayer of thanks to God that we have made it this far. We can still enter into that valley of decision by making our voices heard and exercising our right to vote. Remember, with every right comes a responsibility to maintain and protect it.

As always, remember that everything political has a spiritual root.

Stay prayed up, armored up, and war strong.

God bless,
