The government won’t help you, here’s what will.

We here in America are facing two visions for our country. The first is in the words of the previous president of the United States to “fundamentally transform our country.” He led his platform by calling for “hope and change.” When he first ran for office, both my husband and I both asked, change to what?

We got the answer over the next 8 years as government programs, and policies were implemented. None of them did anyone any good, and led us down the slippery slope we are now on.

I wanted to set this stage because we are facing the same dilemma when it comes to the next election.

Will we come crawling to the government to fix our problems as a country, or will we take our problems into our own hands, and find a way to get past them?

The real choice that we face is capitalism, vs. socialism/communism.

I believe firmly that the government will not help us. Sure, they may provide programs for low-income families, but should those families strive to do better for themselves, then those same programs smack them down, and say “If you incase your income and get yourself on firm financial ground, we will cut you off.  You will remain good little pawns who we must care for from cradle to grave.

Now are there are times when a family should accept the government’s help? Of course, there are. Sometimes, we need a helping hand. The key is that we do not stay there.

I believe that capitalism will be the thing that changes the future of our country.

You see if you can build something, from the ground up and build a little bit of cash flow, then you start to grow that thing, then you are not dependent on the government, but you are striving to do something more, and leave a legacy for your family.

I am a capitalist through and through. Paul said it best if you don’t work you don’t eat. So let’s not be content to just take handouts from the government. Let’s commit to building businesses, and invest to leave something for our future generations.

One last thing I will leave you with is this.

While I have spoken about capitalism, and why it is needed, nothing changes the fact that we must come back to God, and repent. God said in His word that the people will rejoice when good kings rule, but they will morn when a bad king is in power. This principle remains true today.

We in America have a choice to make what kind of King will we have this time around?

Let us pray up, armor up, and war strong.

God bless,
